Dudley joined BMS in December 2024 and has more than 30 years’ experience in wholesale specialty insurance and treaty reinsurance.
His previous roles include senior positions at Benfield Group and Aon, where he led Aon Re’s UK, Ireland and Benelux businesses and later served as CEO of the Aon Global Broking Centre.
Dudley began his career on the Willis graduate scheme and is a member of the Council of Lloyd’s.
He holds an MA in Philosophy & Politics from Oxford University and has been Deputy President Designate of the Institute since October 2024.
Duddley added: “I am delighted to be elected President of the Insurance Institute of London. I am looking forward to making the most of this opportunity to serve the members, employees and other stakeholders of the Institute in this role. I would like to thank the Institute’s members for electing me and thank Lucy Clarke for her excellent leadership over the past year.
“Our industry is critical for worldwide economic development and resilience. The role we play has never been more important than it is now. New, emerging, and changing risk profiles for organisations and individuals across the globe demand an enabling response from the re/insurance industry. I would like to see greater collaboration across our marketplace to drive innovation at scale.”
