MSIG USA, a provider of specialty commercial insurance, has appointed Erika Shalette as General Counsel, reporting to Kent Ziegler, the firm’s Chief Financial Officer and Chief Administrative Officer.
In her new role, she will oversee all legal and compliance matters for MSIG USA, guiding corporate governance practices, managing regulatory requirements, and supporting strategic initiatives that drive the company’s continued growth in the US specialty market.
Shalette brings nearly 25 years of legal experience, including extensive insurance industry experience, to the role.
Most recently, she served as Executive Vice President, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary at Amynta Group.
In that role, she oversaw all legal, compliance, and regulatory matters worldwide, while advising the executive team and Board of Directors on corporate governance, compliance, and strategic transactions.
Previously, Shalette has held senior legal positions at Chubb and AIG, managing mergers and acquisitions, strategic investments, and related global regulatory processes. She also held senior counsel roles at Mitsubishi Corporation (Americas) and Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP.
